This page is to provide stamp collecting links to sites and web pages for the stamp collecting community.
I realize this Stamp Collecting Resource site can't cover everything and there are tons of well designed and useful web pages on the internet to be explored.
I'll add external web pages on this page that provide additional resources or a unique perspective that might be interesting or worthwhile.
I take care to only provide high quality websites here so please Contact Me if you have worthy stamp web pages to include or if you think one of these links should be removed. Feel free to recommend anything you think would improve this site or that other readers with a stamp collecting background might enjoy.
This isn't intended to just be a laundry list of random sites so the list will remain small. However, my goal is to provide useful resources that you may find interesting or valuable as a stamp collector so there will be some community, reference, and external site recommendations below.
I'll add to it over time but will keep it small with only high quality sites approved for listing here.
Stamp Auction houses are a vastly underutilized way to both buy and sell stamps. I'm not talking about ebay auctions, selling a stamp on ebay is something anyone can do.
There are still a few dozen stamp auction houses in the country that have live in-person auctions (of course, they're almost all also online now) and while they are little known gems to those outside the stamp dealer community, stamp auctions provide a handful of real advantages to buyers and sellers.
Buyers: Here the auction houses expertise and integrity come into play. Find an auction house you trust where they have experts to identify material and also to find better material for sale.
Sellers : Find an untapped audience with the auction house's mailing list of dedicated stamp collectors and dealers. It is hard to find access to the stamp buying community quicker than through an auction house.
Emerald Ventures Stamp & Coin Auctions (taking over the tradition started by Alan Blair auctions in Richmond VA in 1984) is one excellent auction house for both buying and selling stamps in quarterly stamp auctions with the occasional coin auction as well.
